Every thing you write is true, and those red lorries with all the lights on are amazing at night, they attract you, seduce you, wow you, no child can resist. Oh sorry, Coca Cola also sells water and milk, and they’re healthy aren’t they? No, but seriously, the diabetes problem in Mexico is so awful, and back in the 70s when bottled water didn’t exist the only clean thing to drink was coke. Old habits die hard. I will never forget my first Christmas with my husband’s family and instead of wine we had jugs of Coca Cola with our Christmas dinner. Oh boy…
Great post! A colleague recommended the documentary “El Susto” which is available on YouTube about the diabetes crisis in Mexico caused by the soda industry.
Nice work! Those coke caravans are indeed a violation of Coca-Cola’s (empty) promise to the WHO. Greed wins. But hooray for El Poder del Consumidor! More people in Mexico need to hear their message.
I wish I was going to be in the PV area over the holidays - I would help in the protests in any way that made sense. But your article is a great way to help get the word out there. Bravo. And thank you for your kind words and callout about me and my article 😊
